Athabasca University MBA Canada's Athabasca University credited with first online MBA

The roots of the modern MBA can be traced back to the USA at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. Founded in 1900, it awarded the first advanced degree in Business.

 

The first MBA program was established in 1908 at the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.

 

In 1930, the Sloans Fellows Program was established at MIT as the first management and leadership education program for executives and managers.

 

The first Executive MBA (EMBA) program was established at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 1943.

 

In 1994, Athabasca University, Canada, produced the first executive online MBA program.
